Fall 2020 FabFitFun vs. CauseBox

Fall 2020 FabFitFun vs. CauseBox

FabFitFun and CauseBox are my two favorite subscription boxes and have been for over a year. I tried many others, but always come back to these two. They both come every quarter and include 6-8 full size beauty, fashion, lifestyle, fitness, and décor items. They both cost very similar too – $49.95 for FabFitFun and $54.95 for CauseBox, and both bring about $300 valued products.

FabFitFun Fall 2020 Discount

FabFitFun focuses on brands and products that are trendy and innovative. They cater to influencers and people who are open to trying new things. Instagram is full of young ladies opening their FabFitFun boxes and taking pictures of everything they get. I am not an influencer, but I also enjoy having this little ritual for myself and opening my box while taking pictures of all the goodies.

I noticed that FabFitFun usually arrives before CauseBox, but the difference is just a few days. Both FabFitFun and CauseBox annual subscriptions help me save about $20 per year and offer more choices for products that I want to receive. I know for sure that I will stay with both of them for a while longer, so it makes sense to me, but if you are just trying these boxes out, my advice is to go with seasonal subscription at first, because you can cancel it at any time.

Let’s take a look at what I got in my Fall 2020 FabFitFun box:

FabFitFun Fall 2020 Box

Glossmetics Hair Removal Device – $59

This little machine is going to help me stay hairless summer or winter just the same. It’s not painful and super convenient to take on vacations with me.

The Laundress New York Crease Release – $16

FabFitFun Laundress New York Crease Release

I am not an ironing kind of gal, so this is right on – I can spray it on my husband’s collars and have them look sharp without any effort. I am not sure how it would handle deep wrinkles, but a few small ones are no problem for this spray.

Stress Reliever 100% Natural Hair Oil – $75

I color treat my graying hair all the time, so oil for scalp massage sounds great. This one also smells very nicely, so it’s like a spa treatment for my hair.

Hythe Tranquility Sleep Mist – $22

This mist works wonders on tired skin after a day of wearing makeup, which I don’t do very often during pandemic, but it occasionally happens. It has witch hazel, lavender, and rice water for ultimate skin relaxation and hydration.

The Beauty Crop Glow Milk in Blind Date – $19.50

Highlighter is one product that I can use anytime, so this one was very welcome. It comes in a cute package and makes my skin positively glow.

Masontops Glass Water Bottle with Neoprene in Turquoise – $35

FabFitFun Masontops Glass Water Bottle

I have been refusing to use plastic bottles for a good while, so I always collect glass or metal ones. I take them with me everywhere I go, from gym to walks and car trips – and this one is great for all of that.

Uncommon James Set of 2 Copper Canisters – $49

Copper canisters with wooden lids look perfect in my kitchen, since every kitchen should have something copper these days. I feel very trendy now!

Nectar Sunglasses Blue Light Blocking Glasses in Brown Tortoise – $45

FabFitFun Glasses in Brown Tortoise

Since my son is using my old blue light glasses, these came right in time before I went and bought a new pair. I love their frames more than my old one’s too.

Now let’s see what was in the Fall 2020 CauseBox:

CauseBox Autumn 2020 Box

Bathen Waffle Bathrobe in Mint – $90

CauseBox Bathen Waffle Bathrobe in Mint

The bathrobe is very cute, soft, and comfy. I also like that it’s not too bulky and doesn’t make me sweat after a hot shower even during warm season.

Artisan Direct Milky Way Lantern – $40

CauseBox Artisan Direct Milky Way Lantern

As fall nights are getting colder and longer, my love for candles intensifies. This candle holder lantern is made for tea candles and looks like stars.

Volim Love Scrub – $56

I try to be good to my skin and exfoliate at least 2-3 times per week, so I always run out of scrubs. This one came right in time and feels good.

The Green Co. Set of Reusable Facial Rounds – $10

CauseBox Reusable Facial Rounds

This product is very typical for CauseBox – reusable something to prevent unnecessary waste. Those ten washable facial rounds come with laundry bags and can replace 12,000 cotton balls.

Core Bamboo Serve Set – $35

CauseBox Core Bamboo Serve Set

You can use this set for preparation and for serving in salad bowls or anything that needs stirring. The two utensils come with a bamboo board. You can feel good about using bamboo because it is one of the easiest to acquire renewable materials.

Way of Will Brightening Serum – $37.50

CauseBox Way of Will Brightening Serum

Vitamins A and C help hydrate my skin and lighten my plentiful sun spots. My skin glows and feels very soft after using this serum.

As you can see, FabFitFun included 8 items, while CauseBox had just 6, but those 6 are of higher value, so I consider them equal. If I had to pick one over another, I would probably go with FabFitFun simply because it’s more stuff to enjoy, but they both are about the same in my eyes.
