No matter where you live, this winter has presented more than a few surprises – not enough rain in California, snow in Arkansas and Texas, bitter temperatures all over the South, and same old pandemic everywhere. No wonder we just want to feel comfy and hugged!
Causebox serves as that much needed warm hug to me. I enjoy getting my new seasonal box no matter if it’s winter or summer. Each box is very reflective of the season and can really put you in the mood. Most items are also versatile – you can definitely use earrings and face toners any time of the year, but some, like chunky socks or cozy blankets, are best when left for winter.
Causebox is famous for supporting local and far away artisans and showcasing products that are made with environment and community in mind. Each box brings 6-8 full size items for just $54.95, when the value of everything inside is often way over $200. I took it one step further and decided to order Editor’s edition, which costs $49.95 per box. This is savings of about $20 per year and gained confidence that my box will arrive before others will get theirs, most of the time, that is.
See Causebox Discounts:
- 20% Off First Box Subscription with code WELCOME20
- $10 Off Your First Box with code LEAH10
My sister has a regular subscription, so we always enjoy comparing our goodies and seeing which one of us will get hers first. She usually wins there, but with a few exceptions. As I mentioned above, I enjoy Causebox items because they are natural, cruelty free, and always striving to make a difference. Make them all cozy and cute and Causebox will be a winner among other subscription boxes for sure.
Let’s take a look at what I received this time to cuddle with by a fireplace at the end of this cold winter:
Thread & Supply Cozy Cloud Wrap – $115
This wrap really feels like a cloud and I can wrap myself in a cloud like that on a cool spring evening or while traveling just as well as in the middle of winter. Thus I declare this item universal and will be bringing it along with me on my European trip if I shall be so lucky to go this year. And the best part – it’s made out of recycled plastic bottles!
Boon Supply Reusable Zip Pouches – $22
With my kids back at school, snack bags are needed again. I am very happy that these reusable ones will replace my zip locks, which are terrible for the environment even if I recycle them. These pouches replace as many as 300 single use bags, and I got three of them, which makes 1,500.
SKIN&CO Roma Truffle Therapy Face Toner – $30
This is definitely one item that I will use in spring when sun will have plenty of chances to kiss my face as I will be working on my new vegetable boxes. This toner is made in Italy, with witch hazel, truffle, and rosemary extracts, and is 100% vegan and cruelty-free. Bring it on, sunshine!
Sanctuary Project Thick Gold Hoops – $38
These hoops are perfect for your Zoom calls and for grocery runs, because these are about the only activities we all currently engage in. Once the world opens up, the earrings will look amazing for any occasion.
Sanctuary Project employs 25 trafficking, violence, and addiction survivors and is non-profit.
ettitude Travel Beauty Pillowcase – $25
Travelling with attitude requires ettitude pillowcase for sure. The pillowcase is made of bamboo, but feels like silk. It’s simplistic, yet luxurious and sustainable, so that’s killing two birds with one stone. While the pillowcases are being made, the facility uses closed loop system and reuses 98% of the water.
Soon Skincare Peony Foot Masks – $45
Your hands are not the only ones in need of little love during winter and heated dry air. These masks contain licorice and ginger root, both of which make your toes smooth and baby soft. The soles of your feet will be refreshed and ready for spring in no time. The masks don’t only smell good, but are also vegan and cruelty-free.
Total value of this box is $275 and since I will be using every single item, the value is true for me. There have been a few products in the past boxes that I didn’t need, but they all made wonderful gifts for my friends, so there is never any loss with Causebox.
