Comparing Beachly and CauseBox is not very easy. Let me start by saying that I like them both. I have been a subscriber of CauseBox for almost a year and Beachly I tried quite recently. Summer is here, after all, and since we aren’t allowed to enjoy the beach to the fullest in CA this year, getting some beachy spirit delivered seemed like the next best thing.
Both boxes are seasonal and both include full size items – no little samples here. This fact makes them both winners in my heart right away. Delivered products cover beauty, fashion, jewelry, personal items, and home décor.
Both boxes have an agenda that each follows. Beachly strives to deliver items that have some connection to summer, water, sun, sand, and fun. CauseBox has a mission to make our world a better place by including items that are made of organic and sustainable materials, handmade stuff by artists from faraway countries, and products that help us become more environmentally conscious. Long story short – both boxes have a specific message and I like it.

Beachly is more expensive that CauseBox. It costs $99 per box, but delivers items of $200+ value. I tried them and believe it to be true. CauseBox costs $54.95 and also delivers at least $200 worth of goodies; you can trust me on that!

My concern with Beachly is what it is going to do in the middle of winter, when beach is the last thing on our minds. On the other hand, it can bring some fuel for our dreams, items for winter vacation, and help us count days to the beach faster. CauseBox is good year round and there is no doubt here. If I would have to choose just one of them, I would go with CauseBox all year round, but would prefer Beachly in spring and summer.
Without further ado, let’s compare the items and make our own mind about what we like more.
This is what I got in my first Beachly box:
- Laguna Tote by Lu + Elle ($130) – this bag is huge and fits half of my life whether I am going to the beach, pool party, or sending my kids to a sleepover.
- Hawaiian Blooms Kimono ($59) – This kimono or beach cover works perfectly together with the tote and is used by my pool all the time. It also came to the beach with me a couple of weeks ago.
- Noa Sun Kissed Tank ($44.50) – I wear this tank top with my favorite white jeans and with black yoga leggings as much as I get a chance to leave the house.
- Speakqua Cruiser Wireless Bluetooth Speaker ($25) – again, beach is not as easily accessible and enjoyed this year thanks to corona problems, but I use this little speaker on my work table and by the pool all the time.
- Kauwela Bracelet Set ($30) – beads and shells are in this year again and this set offers all of that + gold and silver accents. I say it’s the most perfect summer accessory!
- Hibiscus + Grapefruit Salt Scrub ($14) – last but not least, there is heavenly smelling body scrub to get my skin summer ready. It scrubs, hydrates, and makes skin shiny from head to toe.
And this is what came in my last CauseBox:
- Earth Harbor Aqua Aura Reparative Eye Cream – This seaweed collagen cream has been doing miracles for my eyes and is used every night.
- Artisan Direct Sustainable Grocery Starter Kit (set of 5) – I carry these cotton bags handmade in India in my backpack and try to use them on every shopping trip I go to.
- Cloud Bentgo box – this box is sitting in my pantry and waiting for my son to go back to school in August. I can see him enjoying it very much and know I will feel good about not wasting any more plastic than I have to.
- Pixie Mood Crossbody bag – the bag is made of vegan leather and is very elegant. I like to wear it on my shoulder while shopping – it doesn’t fall down and it doesn’t sit on the shopping cart for potential thieves.
- Gardea AuSet Calm Mood Mist – this lavender spray is loved by my kids even more than by me. I often find it in my son’s room; he says it helps him fall asleep.
- Dime Super Eye Duo – I work on my eye beauty very vigorously now, because everything else is covered by mandatory masks, so trust me when I say that this set is perfect and lasts all day without fail.
- Simple Self Wellness Planner – 2020 is not the best year for full planners, but this one keeps me on track still and helps me find time for some ‘me’ time, which is desperately needed while spending summer at home with restless kids all while trying to work.
