I am always happy to try new subscription boxes. I love them all – kids activities, beauty, food, and even dog toys and treats. And what’s not to love – you get to try amazing things without shopping and enjoy selection made by experts in the industry!
I have tried quite a few boxes, but this is the first time for CauseBox. My sister started subscribing with them, but she signed up for annual subscription. I just wanted to try seasonal and see if it differs from her boxes. And today was the day for my Winter CauseBox to finally arrive. Here is a thing – if you want to test them out, you have to be very patient, because it took weeks for me to get this box after ordering. It’s already March and I am just now getting my winter box! I know my sister is about to get her spring box any day.
After looking inside of my box I decided that a little wait was worth it. The box came so full that the lid barely closed and it was taped all the way around. Seeing this definitely conditions you for great things right away and my expectations were quite high. Every time I get one of the boxes, I feel like a kid in a candy store, because so many surprises have to be unwrapped and enjoyed!
CauseBox costs $54.99 per month (cheaper with yearly subscription) and includes full size items (6 to 8). I love the fact that all items are natural or organic and all of them carry some type of message. Some support charities, such as victims for domestic violence, others are made of sustainably harvested materials, while others yet are hand made by artisans around the world and provide jobs. Each item has a cause, so subscribing to a company like that can make you feel good about the way you spend money and the ideas or people your funds help support.

My box had 7 items, 3 of them come to everybody’s box, 4 I was able to choose. This is what I got and will love for a long time:
Imani Collective Woven Throw Blanket in Slate – $120 value
This blanket alone covers the expense of the box more than twice! It’s 100% cotton, loomed, and hand-finished by Indian artisans from Jaipur. I like how hefty and cozy it feels and how there is not a fiber of synthetics. Even though winter is ending, I can see myself using it way into spring.
Whitney Kerney Set of 2 Mugs – $35
Whitney Kerney designed the cups and allocated proceeds to support victims of domestic violence.
This issue is close to my heart because I have a friend who went through this is her life, so it feels good to support this cause. And the mugs are beautiful with their subtle coloring.
Samara Luxe Jewelry Box – $42
The jewelry box looks like it’s made from leather, but it’s actually vegan leather. I could really not tell the difference! Some of the proceeds go to Samara project Soular, which provides solar electricity to kids in Kenya.
And it so happens that I really need some type of jewelry organization and even though this is small, I will still load it up with rings and earrings.
Vivit Daily Hair Vitamin – $30
My hair is constantly color treated and bleached, but I am too busy and lazy to look for products myself. When I get something like this sent to my house, I will definitely use it. It is vegan, cruelty-free, and works like a leave-in mask or hot oils.
Soko Petite Bow Earrings in silver – $42
I don’t wear a lot of jewelry, but I always wear earrings and the bigger – the better. These look like something I could love every day and wear to just about anywhere.
Wyld French Pink Clay Konjac Sponge – $190
I have oily skin, so scrubbing my face has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. This scrub is gentle, but does wonderful job exfoliating. It also smells good and looks like a cloud of foam. I am definitely going to be putting it to good use every day.
Simply Straws Rose Gold Straw Kit – $24
For the last two years I have been more and more environmentally conscious and doing my part in recycling and reusing. I banned plastic straws and plastic bottles from my house a long time ago, but besides silicon straws for kids I never got any kind of straws for myself. And now these came – 3 stainless steel straws and a brush. I am going to keep one of them in my purse for sure and drink those margaritas in style!
The total value of the box is $310 and that covers my $54.99 very nicely.
Needless to say, I loved what I got and now want more. While it’s more expensive than FabFitFun box, I am willing to invest more in products that are good for me, good for environment, and good for humanity, thanks to their causes. Can’t wait to see what else is going to come in spring and hope I won’t have to wait until June to get it!
