Have you been to your local Target recently? If you have and if it participates in this Disney program ahead of Frozen 2 release, you might have been surprised by a small Disney store right at the entrance.
The same goes for Star Wars. And with that your shopping trips just got a lot more magical and a lot more difficult if you have kids in tow.
And this is part of the plan to help us celebrate Frozen Fan Fest and Triple Force Friday just in time for release of Frozen 2 and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
25 such Disney stores were opened in 25 Target locations all over the country on Friday. All the merchandise is also available at Target.com/Disneystore and on Target app.
While the Disney stores are small and occupy only about 750 square feet, they are placed strategically and can’t be missed. You can find them right at the entrance or close to kids and toys sections. Out of about 450 items available there 100 were found only at Disney store locations before.
This beneficial to both sides partnership was announced on August 25th, but might have been missed by most of us. Today it’s a beautiful reality, bound to make every child and Star Wars fan extremely happy. This might even make holiday gift shopping just a little bit easier. Disney collection items and Target’s selling power definitely make a potent combination.
The month of October of 2020 is going to see another 40 such stores-in-stores open in time for holiday shopping. The partnership between the two retailing giants is going to be strengthened some more with the opening of a new Target store at the western entrance of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida at Flamingo Crossings Town Center in 2021.
This collaboration is making consumers excited and looking forward to finding out more about what other merchandise and deals will be available in the future. Currently the merchandise is revolving around Frozen 2 and Star Wars, but in the future the sky is the limit.
What is known now is that after the craze of Frozen 2 and the Newest Star Wars will die down, Disney stores inside Target will carry merchandise from Marvel, Disney Junior, and classic Disney, including stuffed animals, apparel, holiday home décor, and gifts. People are definitely going to love finding everything in one place and in one store.

Those little displays will be a lot more than just regular shelves with merchandise. You can expect a truly magnificent atmosphere, complete with music, interactive displays, photo opportunities, and even seating area for the entire family to relax and watch Disney clips and play some games.
Kids will love to put on Mickey’s hat, hold a life-size lightsaber, or wear a princess crown. Parents will love to take pictures and post them on social media. Consumers will love to see that and come to Target to experience the same emotions. Target and Disney will love the incoming revenue. In this scenario everybody will happy.
