When are Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year?
This year Thanksgiving falls on November 28th, which means that sales will start that evening with most of them taking place on Friday, the 29th.
Cyber Monday is the Monday immediately following Black Friday, December 2nd, so make sure you have your computers with full internet strength and running.
Is Black Friday better than Cyber Monday?
A few years ago the answer would’ve been yes as it was, without a doubt, the ultimate shoppers’ paradise. Today, with ecommerce taking over traditional ways slowly but surely, the number of shoppers and the amount of deals online are beginning to look similar. Retailers are catching on to that and the offers are flowing online just as good as in brick-and-mortar establishments.
Many people prefer online shopping to fighting crowds in stores and waking up early. Others remain faithful to the traditional shopping sprees, hanging out at the stores with strangers and friends, and making a day out of it. To each its own.
What are some of the biggest names that have deals on Cyber Monday?
December 2nd is the day when virtually all your favorite stores will have something to lure you in, but especially these giants:
Can you find some Apple deals for Black Friday?
Yes, Apple usually throws in a deal or two on Black Friday, just don’t expect everything half off. In 2018, you could get an iPad for $100 off and get last year’s model iPhone with great savings.
If you are currently in the market for Apple AirPods, definitely wait until Black Friday or Cyber Monday, but there are no guarantees that those tiny things will go on sale. There is only one certainty – if you are patient, they will get discounted eventually.
What is Walmart most likely to offer this year?
If last year is anything like this year, Walmart will not disappoint, even if there are no unveiled deals just yet. Expect to see toys, books, TVs, and more to be heavily discounted to say the least.
We do know that online price reductions will start on November 21st at 10 pm EST with in-store deals joining at 6 pm on Thanksgiving Day. The deals will last while supplies last, so there will definitely be no time to snooze.
Walmart will be introducing one new thing – a store map, where you will be able to see all the best deals and make the best decision about what direction you’ll be going to get all the things from your shopping list.
What about Amazon deals?
Amazon has been generous for the past few years with the deals and the promotions. If Prime Day 2019 is any indication, the retailer won’t disappoint during Cyber Monday too. The deals on Amazon usually last all week and are called “Cyber Monday Deals Week”. All Prime members get 30 minutes extra time before everybody else to view and shop Lightning Flash deals.
If you really want to enjoy all the deals Amazon will have to offer, you should definitely sign up for Amazon Prime at least a few days in advance and learn how the site works before embarking on Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping journeys there.
What else do we need to know prior to those two shopping holidays?
Most stores release their deals a few days to a couple of weeks in advance, so you can always find out what to expect. Sites like ours add additional deals as they come out, so check in often.
