Service men and women deserve our recognition because, only thanks to them and their selfless sacrifice, we live the lives free of fear and full of freedoms. While some discounts from various stores and businesses are just a small drop, it’s better than nothing. The sacrifices throughout the history are too numerous to count and we all are forever indebted to our brave United States Military personnel that served yesterday, today, and will do so tomorrow.
We looked around for stores and businesses that recognize all active, reserve, and retired military members and their families by offering discounts or special deals for them. Veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan should check in with IAVA for extra vouchers at participating retailers.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind before we dive into the available discounts. First, some of the discounts we found are offered at owner’s or manager’s discretion, others depend on the state and location. Second, some stores don’t advertise their military discount, so always have your ID with you and don’t be afraid to ask.
